McSally Veteran Treatment Court Bill Heads to President’s Desk

U.S. Senator Martha McSally’s (R-AZ) bipartisan legislation to aid veterans in crisis by expanding veteran treatment courts passed the House of Representatives by unanimous consent this week and now heads to President Trump to be signed into law.

“I am pleased our legislation received unanimous support in both the Senate and the House,” McSally said. “Our veterans deserve our full support as they transition back to civilian life and work to heal from invisible wounds. I’ve personally seen the life-changing impact of veteran treatment courts in Arizona, and it’s time we expand this incredible resource across the country to help veterans in crisis get back on the right path.”

U.S. Senators Tim Kaine (D-VA), John Cornyn (R-TX), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Chris Coons (D-DE), Tina Smith (D-MN), Rick Scott (R-FL), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), and Jacky Rosen (D-NV). Representatives Charlie Crist (D-FL) and Elise Stefanik (R-NY) are the main cosponsors of the House companion.
